Moving Your Content from Knomi Google Account to txkisd Google Account

Google Takeout Transfer

As you are aware of, Texarkana ISD teachers are moving away from Knomi as the primary portal for accessing Google Drive content.  You are still able to access your Knomi account, but I recommend you move your content over to your txkisd Google Drive (firstname.lastname@txkisd.net).


There are a couple of options for moving over your content.

Option 1: (recommended)

Google Takeout Transfer allows you to choose the content to transfer, including Drive, and automatically moves it over.  There is no need to go through lots of steps of manually uploading content.

1. Log into knomi.net
2. Click on Google Apps(the Blue G)
3. You should now be in GMail, however with KnoMi in the top left.
4. Go to myaccount.google.com
5. Click - Control your content (It is in the middle section)
6. Scroll Down - Look for Transfer your content
7. Click Start Transfer
8. Fill out the form.
1. Your Destination Account is your district email address.  firstname.lastname@txkisd.net
9. Click Send Code and don't close the browser!
10. The email will go to your district Outlook email. Open Outlook or Outlook Web Access to read it.
11. Copy the verification Code from the Email
12. Paste it into the browser we left open.
13. Click Verify
14. It should choose to transfer all content by default.
15. Start the transfer.
16. Wait until it shows up in your drive.

Option 2:

Download all your content using Google Takeout.  This is useful when you would like to select which elements to keep.  However, you will need to transfer the content manually over to the desired Google account.
